Hudson, NH Resident Allyson Webb to Showcase Fashions at Mount Ida College's Annual Student Fashion Show

Allyson Webb, a resident of Hudson, NH and graduate of Alvirne High School, will showcase her fashion design collection at Mount Ida College's annual student fashion show on Saturday, May 8 at 6:30 pm at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

The runway-style show, titled Collections 2010, will feature the haute couture creations of selected fashion design majors from Mount Ida College. Design categories include elegant evening attire, menswear, and costume design.

Allyson, a freshman fashion design major at Mount Ida College, was one of 27 students designers chosen to participate in the event. A jury of faculty and fashion industry experts critiqued student designers on construction, quality and design technique.

The show is open to the public. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from the fashion merchandising and marketing office at Mount Ida College, 617-928-4636. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door.

About the Fashion Design Program

The fashion design program at Mount Ida College combines a solid academic foundation with extensive professional preparation, including coursework in design principles and hands-on experience using the most up-to-date technology in the industry. Students begin producing garments in the first year, and continue to do so throughout the program. In addition to art foundation courses in drawing, anatomy, and color theory, students take classes in sewing, pattern making, draping and couture and apparel construction.
